Far Cry Movie on Netflix

I was browsing through Netflix and ran across a "Far Cry" movie. I didn't know they made a movie based on the game. It's available for instant viewing if you have a Netflix account. I'll have to check it out.

Directed by Ewe Boll. I don't really know much about him but evidently he catches a lot of flack for deviating from the source material in his movies.

Uwe Boll is essentially the Ed Wood of modern day with the exception that his films have much bigger budgets.

Why does it suck DA? I have watched about 40 minutes of it, and aside from the poor acting, it's not LET'S TALK IN CAPS bad, and I can see some similarities to the game. I think if you played the game you will see what I mean. However, I do think the soldiers in the game are smarter, lol.

Did you not catch the poor sound quality. A 20mike mike should not sound like a M16. A huge explosion should not sound like a firecracker. I read the bio for the game and it does follow it almost to the letter but dayum the acting, the sound effects, now the special effects I have to give it to them.

Complaining about bad acting in a Uwe Boll film is like me complaining that my Toyota Corrola doesn't go from 0-60 in 4 seconds.

i watched it last night. It's not an award winner, but it didn't really suck if you go into it knowing that's it's an Uwe Boll movie. After i finished watching it, i watched American Ninja (Michael Dudikoff) to clense my palate. Not sure I achieved anything.

And this is why I am a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000. If I'm going to watch some crappy B movies, I can at least watch them with some hilarious riffing and commentary.
