LOMAC DEMO SUCK ASS!!!

It wont work on my PC!!

I get in set all the graphics and as many other setings to minimum and select either A-10 or mig29 and end up with the same result nice scenery but no planes!!!

NO cockpit view (well no cockpit!) outside view nice but outside of what new stealth planes that are invisible to the naked eye??

Sound works a treat as you hear your invisible plane get shot down!

Have rebooted, reinstalled uninstalled (ok the other way about ) but no joy same effect.

System stats are:

XP1900+
512MB RAM
Kyro 2 4500 64MB graph card (bummer but its all i got)
80gig HD
ABIT KR7A MB

Thought id at least be able to run it a minimum settings and that includes the lowest res available, but no.

Bugger!!

Redownload the demo? Maybe you have a corrupted installation file?

Does your system meet minimum specs? I don't know anything about that video card. Can it even be the video card when you can see scenery but not planes?

1) Having to wait longer and longer for the full version of LOMAC sucks ass!

2) Door to door telemarketers that come back 3 times and won't take NO for an answer. (Insert slamming door in face, with a hint of ass kicking if they don't leave here)

3) Having a RAID 0+1 Primary and Mirror drive crash simultaneously. (This happened at work last week, thank goodness for automatic server backups!)

4) Having your neighbor call Animal Control because your dogs are barking at them for looking over YOUR fence into YOUR yard. (Insert Spraying poison on neighbors vegetable and flower garden here)

Nemisis, you need a new video card dude, the Kyro II is not going to cut it anymore with the newer games, especially games like LOMAC and HL2. I am planning on getting a new video card soon, so if you want, I will sell you my GF4 4600 Ti for a reasonable price. It will probably be around the time LOMAC and HL2 come out will be when this happens.

Now, if Steel has Comcast, hates boybands, is pissed at waiting for LOMAC, AND has 10 inches of snow with a busted snowblower (especially in San Diego!) - THEN I would say Steel is the unquestioned winner.

Had you bought a house together yet (read as pretty much married, just not legally - good thing at this point)? Did she start seeing someone else the day after she told you? Better yet, was she having an 'online affair' with him BEFORE she told you? At least she had the guts to say something before she actually slept with the guy...otherwise the firearms may have come into play - if nothing else just to put the fear of God into someone.

Maybe it seems so bad because it is so personal to each of us...

I often think my life just sucks, but truth be known I have'nt got much to complain about; at least, not out of the realm of my control and management.

Comcast sucks. They took away the History channel even though I was getting it for free for nearly a year and a half. They don't have a middle plan between ultra basic and standard cable. I have ultra basic because besides history channel, I could really care less about most of what's on tv.

Having to do research on a Saturday instead of playing Betrayal at Krondor or one of my many military sims really sucks. I'm taking a class as required by the DOE, (They really really really suck, and I often think that firebombing would be to good for them.) Problem is that the profs a complete wacko and does'nt know how to teach to save her life. She talks about ed reform for two hours a wack with no structure or direction. Most of us don't take notes because we're unsure of what is exactly she wants to emphasize. It's more like talking about ed reform over a cup of tea rather than analyzing anything of substance. If I pass the course it will be amazing because I have no idea what the hell to expect. I've taken grad courses, independent studies with more structure. ah well, I'll just keep plugging along.

They did the same thing to me. Except I called their bluff. The cable in my condo complex is F'ed up hardcore. They cut my cable modem once by accident and it was evident by the 45 minutes they took to find it outside alone that the place is a mess. I got that letter stating they were going to take everything as well. And I did the same; told em go screw and cancel it ALL. I still have evreything and pay over $10 less for cable now.

apparently it was not one-third but all of the code, and people who have their hands on it are already compiling it. Perhaps the nice hackers will distribute it for free?
