ToW collection on Steam

Post by Hammer »

the whole collection (i did not even know there were three expansions) for 11.25.

it is a WW2 RTT, pretty detailed and not easy. some comparison to Men of War, but perhaps even more realistic.

Yup, I bought the Tow2 pack for 11 bucks. It has Co-op multiplayer too.

Thanks for the heads up, I went ahead and bought it. Installing ToW2 packages, seeing as I have ToW installed from DVD already. But maybe I should install the Steam version so it will stay up to date? *shrug*

GIve me a couple of weeks to get up to speed and learn this game and I would love to play it online with you guys.

Admittedly, I'm kinda burned out on COH.

Actually Panzer, the ToW series is MUCH slower paced that CoH. Start playing through the training missions and you'll see what I mean. You don't build any units per say, you start with X number of units and depending on the design of the mission, you may get reinforcements.

well, it can be slow but if you do not use good sound tactics you will get killed very quickly. in my opinion it is a good, realistic sim.

I played the Kursk tutorial twice and I think I have a decent grasp of how the game mechanics work. If we have time tomorrow night I wouldn't mind trying it out.

Make room on your hard drive? It's either a pretty small drive or you have your entire dvd collection ripped and stored on there. :-)
