Anyone planning on getting Forza4?

Post by Buffalo Six »

I had some best buy points that needed to be used for something so I picked up a 250gb 360....with points it was just under a $100.

Winning!

I pre-ordered forza4 and also a wheel/pedal/shifter setup from Fanatec because while I like my TS500R wheel, its only PS3 or PC compatible. The new Fanatec CSR stuff is Xbox/PS3/PC and the new pedal set has a load cell brake, which will be nice. My TS500R has a stiff break (very heavy spring/spacer) but I can still feel the end of the spring sliding around and in the middle of a hard corner.....feeling that thing slip a little is disconcerting. It also has fixed (as in they dont turn with the wheel) flappy shifters, which makes shifting hard when your hands are upside down in a hard turn....

I also want to give Forza4 a try because I an really tired of 10 billion crappy japanese cars that GT5 has in it. So if your getting Forza4 look me up on Xbox: Hookecho6

I got it and friend-ed you back and joined the RL Racing Club lol. I even uploaded a club car a 2010 ZR1.

Now, if only my brand new Fanatec wheel would talk to my Xbox (which it wont) I could have some fun, as of now I'm limited to the controller which sucks

No I'm just an idiot. I;ve had the Xbox for like 3 days and never knew there was a connect button on the console you ALSO had to hit. In the Xbox manual they never tell you about it, I guess their controllers just link up without it.....at least mine did, and only after getting my drafting glasses out and taking off mu bi-focals did I see the itsy-bitsy note and arrow showing where it was located.

My Fanatec stuff is working now but damn its a much different animal from the T500RS Thrustmaster rig I have been driving. the FF is pretty weak, the pedals are soft but.....they are much, much smoother.

Oh and there seems to be a Huge bug between Forza4 and the fanatec wheels (even the official branded fanatec CSR wheel, like I got) and that is if you have your wheel rotation set to anything other than 270 degrees, you get no rewards or XP. Even the Fanatec web page is saying set it at 900 degrees or the Xbox wont read it right.......someone someplace dropped a big ball on that.

Anybody else think 'Clan Snow Raven'? Somebody out there needs to make a new dang Battletech/Mechwarrior game.

ever look at the battletech simulator? one guy, he maskes slow but steady progress. there is also the group that has been modding MW4 forever and made their own game.
