British Infantry Mod

Post by KODIAK »

I have found news and some screenshots of the above mod at the following link:

The SA80 model looks absolutely perfect, and most of the rest is also very good / realistic. The only thing I found incorrect whilst browsing is the forward bodypart of the GPMG, a small trivial item really. For the record though - the British Infantry do NOT run around in "pinkies". Having said that, they may be found in landrovers with the canvas / windscreens folded down and maybe the odd the GPMG mounted. A Pinkie and a standard Landrover 110 are two very different variants of the landrover series.
Not to say the modder hasn't done well, for he has done an outstanding job IMHO - especially with the SA80 texture. Althopugh being honest I was a little pissed at the comments the SA80 drew in the forum. The new H&K L85A2 is a very well improved weapon. But to see just how good the weapon is - just look at the weapons being used by the all the special forces around the World, especially the SAS Regiments - that will tell you where the most reliable, accurate, well designed weapons are. Mind you, the SA80 must be better than the Armalite - our Royal Marine units have switched across to the SUSAT version, so that says something I guess :?

I think he said that the L85A2 is still crap and that the Brits should get G36's. Or flintlocks. BTW, I think H&K did the mod only when it was owned by the Brits. But now the Germans own H&K again.
