OK, so this beta (Beta 1) currently only has TEC Loyalists and Rebels to mess with.

TEC Rebels were made for my style PDT_Armataz_01_36

They are fast paced offensive. Their new cap ship sends boarding parties to other ships and if they would have been destroyed while boarded they regain some health and join your side. This works against structures too. Brutal. Haven't checked to see if the loyalists get the same one or something different.

In the Rebel diplomacy tree you can get the pirates to throw in with you and they will periodically give you ships, cash, etc. They also won't attack you ships if you enter the gravity well (I _think_ this only holds true if there is no bounty on you; unsure. I tried almost immediately after researching and got attacked, later there was no issue)

They also have a research in Diplomacy which will get the small fleets around uncaptured planets to stop attacking you.

The Titan for Tech Rebels is bristling with missile and gun turrets. Once it starts firing the deathing starts. It's great. Only thing is it is expensive. Plan a few thousand to research. A couple thousand to build the necessary structure, and then 6500 more to get it built (plus 1200 metal!). A serious investment.

Softball and I saw one new planet type: 'Moon', which seems roughly comparable to asteroids. Maybe a step up.

There are new and improved graphics, etc.

There are also the smaller type ships as promised. They're cheap, but they look just powerful enough that a swarm of them could be a total nightmare if you're unprepared to deal with them.

Overall it's Sins. The same Sins cake. With new and improved awesome frosting.
