"The studio seized upon the free-to-play model early on as the best way to draw in as many potential 'Mech pilots as possible."
they also mention world of tanks. has anyone else tried that? there was a post not too awful long ago.

I played World of Tanks for a bit, it's pretty decent for F2P. Gotta earn points to upgrade your tanks and such.

Mech Warrior… Okay I feel like this is still a dream in the process. Because I haven’t found hard evidence that this game will launch anytime soon.. While the Mek Tek Development boys are looking for donations , The closet I came to Mech Warrior online is that they will launch the beta this summer. Which means .. ( Imo ) it will be another year or so before we see it available for download , and that’s if they don’t have any copyrights issues with Microsoft. Also , I’ve heard that this may be available for PC downloads only ?

MWO is PC only, NOT PC AND XBOX 360. Change it IGN, you're misleading your audience. Also as a clarification, the game play has been described as similar to MechWarrior’s 2-4. It's not like MechAssault, so for those people interested in that game, go check out Reign of Thunder, it is the true successor to MechAssault.
I checked out the link and this game looks more like a circus , rather than the old fashioned Mech Battles posted form MWO web site..

Sorry to be so skeptical.. I’m just trying to find out what’s really going on here. But hey , how about a quote from the Postman!
Things are getting better..

Whoa , this must be a fancy upscale place to be paying such high prices. Even if I was still a hardcore MechWarrior , or perhaps a wannabe , I certainly would like to sample the menu before ordering dessert.
Edit:
Then again , I’m not at all sure what this is about. I got it in the email for registering with the site. I’ve read it a few times and still can’t get over the pricing. I sure hope there is an option D- $10 , E - $5 and F , as in for free. : )
Below is a link that explains the Founders Package pricing.
