Shortly thereafter there were rumors of people being laid off, which were confirmed. While it's not unusual for game companies to let go of 'extra' staff after a game has launched, this seemed a little more painful, and has led to a delay with the release of Issue #2: http://forums.thesecretworld.com/showthread.php?t=56166

Whether it's due to bad/mediocre reviews, lingering bad karma from AoC's poorly received launch, the imminent release of Guild Wars 2 (which I think happened over the weekend), or all of that or something else entirely, it seems like a lot of people just aren't buying/trying the game.
Q2 report was released today. Waiting for someone to do an armchair analysis.
