AA2

Post by Softball »

Sure, steal my thunder. I posted the info about AA2 in the Misc Ground Combat section an hour before you posted here. You're getting sloooooow man.

I have it DLed already and burned to CD. Looks like you will have to complete Basic training and Jump School before you can go through the SF training. Oh joy!

I got booted from Special Forces training because I couldn't figure out how to sit in the chair in the classroom. Any ideas?

EDIT:
To sit in the chair, you actually have to look down at it. Anyway, I'm in the E and E training now. This is fun/tough. Got to objective A, but keep getting spotted near objective B. Unless I am missing the obvious, they are not making it easy to qualify.

Well, back to the course...

in order to qualify for special forces, i am assuming that you have to qualify expert marksmanship - is that correct? so far i have passed everything but have only qualified sharpshooter and special forces (and advanced marksmanship of course) is not available.

I didn't realize that marksmanship was a qualification... the manual says

• Airborne qualified
• At least 15 honor points
• Complete the AVWID training map, at Camp Mackall
• Compelte the Escape and Evasion map (EandE)

Also, have you done the Airborne training? Also, you do have to complete the AVWID course BEFORE the E and E class.

1. i have completed Airborne
2. Neither AVWID nor E&E are available to me.
3. Did you shoot Expert? That is the only way you get into Advanced Marksmanship. Because that is not available to me either until i shoot better than sharpshooter.

BTW, how many for expert? 36? 38?

36 out of 40. At least that's what it is for Air Force Expert Marksman

Still trying to D/L 2.0

Just collected my coipy from my buddy who lives in town. We had a rememberance parade and he had to come up to the base anyway. He said he experienced problems on his system after installation, made his computer really slow - any ideas?

I thought one of my scores was 36, but I did not get Expert. I shot 37 today and qualified Expert. Maybe it was 36 though, and I miscounted my score.

At any rate, even after I qualified expert, I still did not have AFWID, E&E, or advanced marksmanship available. So I went back and found i had not done the live jump. after i did that, then everything was available. but since i now was expert marksman, i still don't know if the expert qual was necessary, at least for SF.

Everything completed so far except SF E&E - passed checkpoint A, trying to get to checkpoint B.

Has anyone started SF training after getting Sharpshooter? I am still curious if it was necessary to qualify Expert before SF was available.

I am stuck at the same spot as Madrus - wish you had a silenced, scoped weapon to take out those sentries?

On another topic ---

do we have or know of a semi-private server where we can play a little 3v3 when we get frustrated with E&E? I mean, i get a little tired of just sneaking and getting spotted ... i'd like to shoot a bit.

I was able to qualify in everything after simply acheiving Marksman for shooting, but to qual for Advanced Marksman you need to qualify Expert.
Madrus, that very thought blew through my head a dozen times whilst trying to complete those three stages.

Gentlemen I have a colleague who may wish to join us for a brief fray at some point - he has lost faith in the general public as far as online play is concerned by the way he talks, and I invited him to join us knowing that our group / team is a somewhat more mature  & laid-back bunch of idio . . I mean errr.. guys & girls. So if there is no problem there I will release the relevant info to him when he feels ready to join us?

Soldier, that's "Eyes Only" classified information! You just effected a security breech - this is no place to discuss the specialist rating of a fellow team member. Raptor, I suggest an immediate re-location of this Topic, to the General discussion forum which is classified "Members Only" (members being the operative I might add! )

Yes, i passed E&E.

Check out the thread "Hooah, I passed E&E" in this forum. I tried to describe hints from my last successful pass.
