Troopers (UT2003)

I tried out Troopers, another TC for UT2003. The installation was less than perfect, but worked out nonetheless. [open the zip file and extract JUST the utmod file. also, you must be patched to the current version of UT2003]

It plays just like UT2003 does with the same game modes (CTF, DM, TDM, etc). The feel is just like UT2003.

EXCEPT: The scenery is all Star Wars. The character models and skins are right-on. The rebel fighters, the storm troopers, the tie-fighters scudding overhead, the imperial walkers, it feels like Star Wars. The weapons are pure Star Wars too. The blaster pistols, the detonators, the rifles. Pretty nice. The pistol is rapid fire, but does less damage, while the rifle does a bit more, but is difficult to hit a quickly moving target.

So, bottom line? If you like playing UT2003-type games and like to play as star-wars characters, this is your mod. Lots of running and gunning here, although you could have a fun game of CTF with the right crowd.

BTW - I didn't notice in the controls setup if there were any new features here: ie iron sights, etc ... i'll have to take a second gander.
