I don't know what you are talking about Raptor!

I am sure that they simply knocked on his trap door, announced who was at the door and were let in so that they could help him surrender to the US troops just as he must have always intended to do.

Before those fanatical people that had actually controlled him all these years tried to hide him before he could tell the world nothing that happened in Iraq was his fault and he was under the controll of a fanatical terrorist organisation using him as a false front while they carried out their evil deeds in Iraq and throughout the world.

HE'S INNOCENT I TELL YA!!!

and in other news today the interplanetary Martian alliance said "they were only here to help the human species to conquer it's hatred of one another create peace for all mankind and cure all know diseases"

They then went on to have a second helping of what they described as Brains de'Human for lunch! YUM!

Frankly, I wouldn't have cared if they did flashbang the room and hit his head against the wall. It's the least we could do to him, I'm sure you'll agree.

But...

What I want to know is why they didn't drop an MK-84 on the place. Now we're gonna spend millions on pushing for and running a tribunal at the Hague and then imprisoning the SOB somewhere or another.

All I can think is they didn't want to make a martyr AND want to air all his, his families, and his governments dirty deeds in a quasi-public, and about as impartial as you'll get forum.

Oh...

and the part where it would be difficult to find a DNA sample to prove he is who he is. I rather suppose much not be left of someone who stood face to face with an exploding mk-84.

Well I think you're right, it's mostly because they don't want to martyr the bastard. They've got enough problems with faction of saddam loyalist as it is.

From what they are saying in the news over here they are going to put him on trial in Iraq and leave the west out of it.

Since his main crimes were agains his own people they are saying over herer anyway that they will be letting the Iraqi people deal with him once they have a proper justice system set up in a few months, until then he will be kept at an undisclosed secure location.

with bathe party members re-institutded in their old jobs as part of the "new" government, I would think that is a bad idea. Frankly, I don't understand what in the hell we are thinking putting those bastards back into power. I wouldn't trust a bathe party member to sweep the streets let alone serve as the chief of police in Bagdad? Are we on crack? Anyway, Saddam is comparable to Hitler and should be put on trial for crimes against humanity. If he is tried by his own people, corrupt individuals may gum up the works.
