My wife is the greatest!!

Post by Nemisis »

I got the best christmas present ever from my wife this year! :D

It was in a small box about 1" deep 6" width and 12" height!

It felt like an empty box and did not look anything special but she had kept on saying to me the past weeks that she could not wait to see my face when i opened it, so i was very curious as to what she had got for me that could be so great but in such a small box??

So the big Xmas day comes and i rip the wrapping paper off, not wanting to see it till it's full unwrapped i looked away till i had alll the paper off and there it was!

A small plastic folder with the words
FLYING LESSON!!! 8O 8O

Inside was a voucher for 1 flying lesson at the nearest available flying club!!

I was totally shocked and sat there with my jaw on the floor for about 5 minutes totally speechless!

Has to be the best present i have ever had and it's from the girl that has to be the greatest!! Tracey my wife, WOW!

What a girl!

Still stunned yet, and cannot wait to arrange a date for the lesson!!

Hope you guys had as much a fantastic Christmas as i did! :D

That's awesome!!! Nice to know someone made out like a bandit :D

All I got was a speeding ticket for $220 on the way home from my parents; least it wasn't on the highway; the way I move it would have surely been more. No matter though I just drove faster on the way home to make up for lost time   :!:

Terrific, mate! She really knows you well. There is nothing like flying. Congratulations, and I hope you will continue to your license as well. if you think you are excited now, get ready to be ecstatic when you solo.

X-mas present

For a minute there Nemisis, I thought you were gonna say you got a new video card, . The size of the box and such mislead me to believe that. Congrats on the flying lesson bro, looks like your wife knows you VERY well. Good luck with the lesson, whenever you decide to take it.

That is simply awesome! And Madrus is right too - I've only ever been in MicroLights, although the aircraft I learned in was a Chevron (which is actually a 'Light' aircraft - but classified Micro because of 'all-up take-off weight'). I was totally chilled-out until I arrived back at the pan, and opened the canopy - then I just went "nutz"!
That was about 1400Hrs, I flew a circuit, and landed, and my instructor was waiting for me as I parked up:

"Excellent! Well done - good circuit pattern discipline, good voice procedure and an almost perfect landing. You're grounded! Now let's go get a beer, I'm paying."

"I'm grounded? What the hell did I do wrong?!"

You've just completed your first solo - now you think you're immortal. You're grounded until tomorrow!"

Standard procedure apparently . . . . . :? 8O
