Well, I'm sure that Visa is mostly full with non-necessary purchases right? :-)

The whole point is they want people to use it say how great it is. Microsoft can almost afford to loose the money but they can't have a total bust of an O/S (even though it wasn't) like Vista, they have to much at stake with their push after the small business market.

I recently pulled my head out of the sand to see why Microsoft put a data center here in the midwest the size of two football fields and I found out they are pushing like mad for the small business market, just check out office live and now their online hosted total solution for communication (e-Mail, communicator, one note I do believe etc.). Microsoft means business and their business is to destroy anyone who isn't a channel partner with them.

Yea like a 2ND MOTORCYCLE! Lolz. To each their own I guess. He's gotta spend money on something. How about saving money for a HOUSE Veg? Oh wait, then you would not have any extra money, nm.

OK I went into Media Center and I am trying to watch a couple of series like two and a half men, they only have one and two minute clips. Whats that all about???? How do I watch the full length episode? Can it be done is the question so I can stop looking.

depends

Post by Hudson »

Looks like it depends on the show. I think some are just clips, some are full episodes, and some have both. For instance:

Classic Star Trek is only full episodes
Two and a Half men appears to be just clips
NCIS appears to have Full episode(s) and clips...

It looks like for most of the newer shows the stations are keeping up only the latest episode which kind of sucks... while most of the old off the air shows have much more available...

Check out http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/prods.html

I have a Hauppauge 1800 (WinTV-HVR-1850) and it's done me well. I had to load their software, but after that it works with media center very well; hell it worked without their software, except for the remote...
Don't buy Pinnacle crap; it should be illegal for them to sell that hardware as anything but the smoldering pile of feces it is...

Has anyone tried the show show desktop option on the right side of the systray? Pretty cool just drag the pointer over the corner next to the time and hold it there and it temporarily shows you the desktop, and if you click it it acts as the show desktop option.

Where did I hear the Vista 2.0 thingy, mmmmmmmm I said it about a month or two ago, I've been running RC every since my HDD went south. I guess nobody listened to me. Yes its Vista revisited but it is actually Vista 3.0 since they came out with SP2 for Vista.

Hey da; ya I saw that the other day; not sure what totally the point of previewing the desktop is, but I thought it was pretty cool. I'm sure it has a use someone thought of, otherwise they wouldn't have included it...

As I type this and inadvertenly move my mouse out of the way the cursor settles on the cube and good as gold I have my desktop so hudson the point is to piss people off, once again microsoft is showing us that they are in control. LoL!!!!!

Hell I don't know but its funny when I move my mouse out of the way. Has any tried dragging a window up to the top of the screen then watch that window maximize then do it again and it minimize back to the last original size. Come on now what the hell.

and of course we've mostly probably seen the commercial window where if you toss a window at the left edge, and then another at the right edge the two windows will show side by side...

they're just trying to invent mouse gestures for this stuff I guess... some are more useful than others no doubt...

I'm fortunate in that they're not getting in my way, so I guess that much is good at least...

you can shake a window and it will minimize all the other windows too; shake it again and they'll all return.

try win+tab instead of alt+tab

also look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Features_new_to_Windows_7

also if the aero peek thing is annoying for real you can right click on the task bar and select properties and uncheck it at the bottom of the window; no more aero peek :)
