Mongoose,
I would check Thrustmaster support to see if they have any ideas? If you are using the gameport on your sound card one thing to check is if there are any conflicts with other io ports in the system. Do you have the latest drivers and directX (8.1) installed? Does the stick work well in other games? What O.S. are you running?

Yes no help from there. :?

It's USB Port, so no conflicts with IO Ports either.

System Specs:
Windows 98 w/ DX 8.1a
Intel Celeron 733 mghz
416MB SDRAM
Asus PC133 mobo
NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Ultra
Display Memory: 32.0 MB
Detonator 4.13.01.3082 (English)
DirectSound SB Live!

Will try and explain a little better here. The stick is working. Hehehe Response is pure sh|t though. Like in slow motion when I am using it. Sluggish... sluggish. I use the stick in F4 works good. Very strange. LOL

Maybe will plug the other two sticks in and see whats up.

Anyway, just real sluggish and makes the sim unflyable.
Thanks Steel... if ya have any more ideas pop in yer head let me know. :D:D:D

Mine works ok, just slow response. When I bank right or left and pull back it should snap to it. It doesn't. Just slow, slow, slow.

Not sure why it does that *** 8O ***

Just about through messin' with it.

Yah, I can not imagine it is the stick or drivers...

Mongoose,
Are there updated USB drivers or combo drivers for your motherboard? You may also want to try M$ Windows update to see if they have anything new for your system.

Well I generally keep up with all the the M$ update and all. Will check and see about the USB or combo drivers, but I don't think thats it.

Like I said its working, just slowass roll, pitch/yaw; like it's in slow mo.

I just loaded the thrustmapper (which I usually don't do anyway) and actually there is nowhere to calibrate even in the game port settings. Like to set the sensitivity. Thats what I need to do. LOL Will post a screen an a min.

D
Here is what my properties in game settings looks like. No where to make sensitivity settings or anything. :x

have you tried switching back to the original FMs?

how about posting your G ratings with one of the regular aircraft.

I also found those 8.4 admin FMs to be a little sluggish (7.0 G limit in the F-16 or something like that)

What I've got running now is the 8.4 admin, EP3, and Jupiter's last FM pack (fixed fuel-flows and gave a little extra umph to the F-16).
You can get that FM pack here: http://www.bobsyouruncle.net/downloads/04-01-02atk.zip

You might find better results with that...otherwise, the stock is your best bet

FM's

Post by Madrus »

Now that Chowda mentioned it, i use the original FM's because I found all subsequent FM's to be too slow in roll and turning.

yes, but most folks have agreed that the rool and turn rates in the stock fm's are just too good...

not being a military fighter pilot i don't really know - i would like to find something that really substantiates it. BTW - even the 1.02 patch "fixed" the too high turn and roll rates. I wonder if there is a way to compare between Falcon and USAF (different FM's).
