Thanx mate, and I do hope you manage to get something up on the forums from what you have on the camera. Of course the final product may not even look slightly like the demo models but it's worth getting an idea what they have/had in mind.

I'm back! I know some may scoff at my Field Training only lasting for four weeks...but I tell ya, it was the hardest four weeks of my life. What they don't do to you physically, they do to you mentally. 28 days of constant stress, 17 hours a day. You never get quite enough sleep as you need, you eat chow in under 10 minutes, and are never out of uniform. The best time was the 4 days they sent us into the woods off the end of the runway...we would watch F-15's and F-22's fly over our heads, barely 200 feet off the ground. The took us on a bus to the flightline to look at 2 of the 5 F-22's that Tyndall AFB has...man are they sexy. I talked to an F-15C pilot, who said he had the F-22 right in front of him, and couldn't see it on radar. There's also a story of the F-22 fighting 8 F-15's, and winning. Its even more impressive when you get to see it up close! Last week I ALMOST got to get a free jet ride in a T-37, but the 727 they chartered for us to take to Columbus AFB ended up being downed for maintenance, so we kinda got screwed. At the end of training we were given our first set of gold lieutenant bars, to keep with us for when we commission two years from now...I can't wait for Active Duty life, with or without a pilot slot. In the fall I'll put in my application for pilot training, and in the spring I'll find out if I get accepted.

Field Training was the longest 28 days of my life, spent at Tyndall AFB Florida. I'll never forget it: it was the most fun you'll never want to have again.

In other news...how often do you guys fly LO-MAC? The 1.02 patch just came out, and it fixes the F-15 radar problems amongst numerous other things. I'd be really interested in flying it online.

We may fly it again soon, but who knows when? These things are more ad hoc than planned usually...
