yea along the lines of what kodiak said.
more adult types actualy play games on the PC... but the gameing companies make more money off of consol.. so add it up. its a money trail thing.. and i think the consol makers are relying on kids to presure parents into getting the games they want.
remember, its not good to sit in front of a PC for huge amout of hours on end. but its ok to do that with TV... i mean realy dont we do that anyhow??
to be honest im not sure of the real reason. just seems like thats the way the games are going.. ive always wounder why MS went with mechassault over MW5 for PC.. i cant believe they would of made more money.. maybe console ppl explect less then we do? then to sell it to a company to canablize Btech.. so no one can make MW5 if they wanted. thats just cruel and unusual punishment in my book

Look at it like this, if they put it on console, they don't have to really work hard to finalise a product, cos they don't need to worry about creating any detailed level of simulated activity. Consoled titles are less time consuming to produce too at a guess. Just my thoughts . . . .

Another thing is length of time spent playing. I believe the average duration of a gaming session on a console is 30 - 45 mins, whereas on the PC, i'd imagine it to be upwards of 2 hours (ppl spend up to 6 hours and beyond on some games, e.g. World of Warcraft). Therefore, programmers can be lax about things like the immersiveness of a game for a console, because people simply won't play it long enough in one go for it to be a real issue. It's only when you spend an hour plus playing that what may have been an irritating niggle becomes an out and out issue

Things That Game Manufactures Have To Deal With.
Hackers:
P.C. Hackers that hack the games and offer them up on file sharing programs.
Patches:
Why keep offing continues patches over the internet to keep up with these hackers or game malfunctions when we can just sell it and be done with it.
Competition Patches:
These other programmers that think of something we missed or something that makes the game work or look better can make us look bad or incompetent.
Age:
Mostly Video Games are for made for the younger audience that doesn’t know allot about operating a P.C. , but they can operate game controllers very well.
Cash Making Platforms:
Why offer a game on the P.C. when we can upgrade our own gaming platform and sell it for boo co amount of dollars. $
Programming Specialist.:
If I’m paying this Programmer to make a awesome game for X amount of dollars , than he’s mine. He’s going to make me a popular game that only people can play on MY gaming console , which ,.. people will buy just to play it.
Mech Warrior Junkies:
If people want to play MechWarrior ,. Than they’ll haft to spend X amount of dollars and buy an Xbox or a Play Station to continue their fun.

There’s something that needs to be done that can spice up the P.C. and win back it’s popularity. But with the Blu-Ray DVD that mostly helps out consoles , it’s going to be hard times. Now that there’s WEB TV and hardly any decent games being offered on the P.C. it’s going to be a crap shoot to see if the P.C. can stay alive with the gaming trade.
