World Cup

Post by PanzerMeyer »

I see to my delight and surprise that the USA is currently ranked 5th by FIFA. I have to say that I'm actually quite excited about watching the World Cup this year. The US team did very well last time around losing just 1-0 to a very good German team. Anyone else here going to watch?

shall watch it, mainly through neccessity (two of my housemates are footie fanatics), rather than any real enjoyment of the game. Ok, yes i'm English, and therefore supposedly football mad, but rugby is my preferred sport. That said, i shall pay slightly more than passing attention to our progress, although common opinion round these parts is that we'll get to the QF's without Rooney, and likely win it if he's playing...odd how one player can make that much difference in peoples minds
