New Patches out today for RS/AS

Post by PanzerMeyer »

From www.raven-shield.com

RVSv1.56 & ASv1.02 Set For Release At Approximately 10:00am US PST, 23-Mar-04

RVS v1.56 & AS v1.02 will be available tomorrow, March 23rd, at approximately 10:00am US PST. Please read below for the intended fixes in the patches:

RVS v1.56
-Locked the debug commands that were left unlocked in the previous patch.

AS v1.02
-Fixed a bug in the meta data of certain maps that caused operatives of opposing teams to have similarly colored uniforms.

-On Siberia, the armor levels of the two opposing teams were set at different levels. This has been resolved.

As always, I will have a list of mirrors for you to pull the patches from. Hopefully, these patches will resolve these issues and everyone can start to enjoy the games as they were intended.

So...do you install 1.56 THEN 1.02? Do you even NEED 1.56 if you use 1.02??? THEY WON'T TELL YOU!!!!!!!!

The patch order appears to be RVS then AS ...

But, you should be able to just use the in-game auto-update feature that was recently added ... haven't tried that yet, but I plan to.

For what it's worth, I started ravenshield (not AS) and went into options and started the "updater" and it downloaded and installed both RVS and AS patches flawlessly ... no worrying about patch mirrors or queueing up for a download or which one to run first.

Nice addition UBI.

(BTW - you can set it for auto-checking for updates or manually check for updates yourself)
