Brian and Kendra, good to hear Ryan's OK!
I just thought I'd give an update on my new lifestyle at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
The dorm is huge, fully outfitted with gyms, gamerooms, lounges, and a cafeteria (that's JUST my dorm).
Classes don't start until Sept. 3rd, but my roommate Brian and I have been studying our Cessna 172R Checklists and manuals. Today we actually got some "dry time" in on a real 172R on the ramp...by ourselves! We just told the flight dispatch that we were ERAU Aeronautical Science students, and they gave us the keys to a plane! We already have down cold the first 5 checklists, which pretty much cover about 100 items in the external walkaround and cabin check. Its so fulfilling to be learning all this information, and having a roommate who's just as excited as I am.
Unfortunately, my computer won't even run CFS, so I'm going to be going on inactive status until I come back for Christmas break, sometime in mid-December.
Good flying to all of you!
