On again off again on again. Home World 2 was canceled back in
December of last year after Sierra pulled out of their agreement.
Recently they have gotten back together and have reopened

Members of the Relic Entertainment and Sierra Entertainment team will
Participate in an online discussion about the sequel to the 1999 Game of the
Year, HOMEWORLD2 on Thursday May 16th at 4PM Pacific Time on the Stratics
IRC network (irc.stratics.com) in the #homeworld2 channel. Questions must be
submitted to moderators ahead of time to ensure the appropriate person
answers your question. Only moderators and Sierra and Relic employees will be
able to chat in the channel during the event.
Topics that will be covered include anticipated ship date, beta test participation
opportunities, and technological improvements.
