MegaMek 28.16

Post by Tach Deneva »

Woo hoo! MM28.16 supports The Drawing Board - a freeware BattleMech designer (which also prints out mighty fine BattleMech Record Sheets) - so I no longer have to manually edit the MTF files (which requires endless testing/tweaking) to use my Custom mechs in MegaMek.

I've not yet tested MM28.16 for the dreaded Bot-bug, which has plagued 28.13-15 (although 15 wasn't quite so bad), but so far it's looking pretty good. It's no longer necessary to delete the mechcache.txt file when you import a new Custom mech. And it's no longer necessary to sort your IS and Clan Custom mechs into separate folders - you just put them all into the Mechfiles folder, and the game sorts them automatically.

Anyway, all you MegaMekkers out there be sure to check out 28.16! Oh, and if you've been using MegaMek.exe to run the game, it's been replaced with MegaMek.bat, so use that instead.

One more thing - if you've not been keeping up, two new FASA maps were introduced in MM28.15: two Lunar maps and two River Delta maps.

OK, is there a bug?
LOL
I was kicking Mince's butt last night. Well OK, it wasn't that bad, but I did hit CNTRL O 3 times to keep my Jenner from going pop. Mince keeps accusing me of using a loaded randomiser.
Anywho, we can't load the game to continue today.

Thanks,
Fethr
