mechwarrior 4 mercenaries 2?

Someone mentioned something on planetside about a new mechwarrior comening out... its supposed to be stand alone mercs 2 or something like that... what is the hubbub about this? is it fact or fiction? it would be realy nice to know that something brand new is comeing our way on the mech front!

I believe there is a Mech Assault 2 coming out for the Xbox.
That's all I've heard, but then I'm pretty much out of touch except for what I read here.

Bullseye said something about it on the 151 TS server the other day. but im still unclear as to rather or not it is a stand alone type game or not. or even what the devil it is.. look forward to hearing about anything promising though.. wouldnt mind trying out a new mechy.

now if they could just make it on a grand scale as Planetside... i would be happy to pay err 'donate' monthly for that ;)
