although I've jumped from delphi to VB now
I read that vb programmers are asked a lot more, and hardly any delphi programmers
delphi is used more for commercial or high end apps and not for just a company db etc
but delphi is still better and capable to a lot more (not only because of kylix but it's more powerful in windows too)

If you're going to learn a new language, take a look at C#. My developer friends are all worked up about it...they say it's what Java could have and should have been.
